What’s new at The First Tee of Monterey County

2013 Summer Camps

2013 Summer Camps will be held June 17 - August 16 and are open to all TFTMC members ages 7-17. Summer Camps run Monday - Friday from 10:00am-4:30pm and applications are being accepted now(see link below).  Transportation will be provided to and from selected AUSD schools.  Students will experience Golf and Life Skills instruction on the golf course, in the clubhouse, and through partnerships with other local youth development organizations.

2012 Volunteer of the Year!

Congratulations to Al Jenness, The First Tee of Monterey County's 2012 Volunteer of the Year! His dedication to helping our youth develop into first class citizens is evidenced through his tremendous effort and long hours. Whether it be mentoring on the course, organizing golf clubs, helping set up games, or just bringing smiles with a well timed joke, Coach Al has created a positive impact upon all our participants. His volunteering spirit is deeply appreciated by all of TFTMC family, and he has set an excellent example for future volunteers to try and duplicate. TFTMC Partners with CSUMB's Pay It Forward Scholarship and Mentoring Program

California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB), and The First Tee of Monterey County today announced a new partnership with the Pay It Forward Scholarship and Mentoring Program, which shall become “The First Tee of Monterey County Pay It Forward Scholarship and Mentoring Program” (TFTPIF).

WANTED: Golf & Life Skills Coaches

The Golf and Life Skills Coach is responsible for role modeling, guiding, and coaching young people to become responsible future citizens and committed, active golfers by positively impacting their lives through The First Tee Golf and Life Skills Experience using lesson plans and The First Tee Coach Building Blocks.
