The C2C team welcomes any interested teenage participants from The First Tee of Monterey County and their parents to join! The goal is to provide resources to our members for college prep, tours, help with SAT/financial aid, and scholarships. To help us achieve that goal, we are working very closely with Carl Ray, a staff member of the Intel Education division who has spent the last 10 years working with the Computer Clubhouse Network setting up college tours, helping members with college prep, and mentoring coordinators. Carl has made himself available to our members as a coach and mentor in their path to college.
In addition, we would like to inspire members to explore the many fields of design in the technology industry. The Computer Clubhouse offers many tools and resources that are not available in this local community. The goal is to expose the C2C team to many fields of design such as graphic design, 3D animation, movie.music production, and even game design. Field trips members have gone on include the Makers Faire in San Mateo and a behind-the-scenes VIP trip to Warner Brothers in Hollywood.
We plan to meet monthly, including parent, to discuss projects and field trips! Each month the C2C team members and their parents are invited to discuss what our objective as a team is, what we plan to work on over the next month, and ideas for field trips and college tours.
